Full Job Description

Nomad Digital are on the look out for a Procurement Manager to join our growing global Procurement department. The successful individual will be responsible for working in partnership with Nomad's suppliers to strengthen our global supply-chain. As Procurement Manager the candidate will be responsible for effectively managing a centralised procurement function encompassing all procurement needs including Sourcing, Supply Chain, contract management, supplier development, Inventory Management and support, processing and maintenance of the data in the central ERP system Oracle NetSuite.,

  • Work with and support other departments across the business to deliver cost effective supply chain initiatives, to affect year-on -year procurement savings.

  • Responsibility for the design and deployment of standard purchasing processes and policies to support the business ensuring alignment with Alstom policies where relevant

  • Takes a robust process-driven approach so that all contracts can withstand internal scrutiny and demonstrate compliance to industry and internal quality standards.

  • Continuously drives improvement during the sourcing phase through the effective management of suppliers, achievement of cost objectives, deadlines and attainment of quality expectations.

  • Undertakes continual market analysis and provides management reporting to demonstrate compliance and realisation of agreed targets.

  • Actively monitors supplier performance and maintains continuous communication with the business as regards timelines, etc.

  • Effectively manages inventory levels required to ensure material input to support customer requirements whilst accomplishing financial inventory objectives.

  • Achieves lowest possible cost for material, balanced against optimum quality and schedule needs

  • responsible for maintenance and support of the central ERP System (Netsuite) including all areas of procurement process and the data contained centrally.

  • Represents Procurement at all internal meetings and communicates across the business internally and with suppliers regarding key activities and data.

  • Overall responsibility for coordinating the procurement team and delegating tasks where necessary ensuring the required resource and planning is in place to service the needs of the business.

  • Support the bid process to ensure key commercial terms with external parties are secured and any risk management regarding Service and Supply are mitigated.

  • Engage and work with Alstom Sourcing and Supply Chain organisations ensuring Nomad maximizing the support of Alstom and communicating updates where relevant.

    CIPS Qualification or equivalent Bachelor's degree in a business related field

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to foster and develop strong supplier relationships

  • A minimum of 3 years management of an established Procurement Function

  • CIPS Qualification or equivalent Bachelor's degree in a business related field

  • Knowledge of standard Supply Chain Management processes
