Lancashire Hospitals Services (Pharmacy) Ltd is delighted to be able to offer multiple vacancies for an Outpatient Pharmacist where no two days will be the same!

Why you ask? We have three different branches which you will rotate across and with being in a hospital environment, it will enable you to develop your clinical knowledge in the multiple specialities including Oncology, Paediatrics, Neurology and many more.

If you have never worked in a hospital setting before, you will be provided with the necessary training to help you succeed. The team are friendly, helpful and supportive of one another and by working collaboratively, enable us to deliver a service that we are proud of. You will also work as part of a wider, multidisciplinary team and will regularly engage with other healthcare professionals.

Please note that we have one part time position available which consists of working 2 x 9.5 hour shifts (with a paid lunch break) on either a Monday and Wednesday or a Wednesday and Friday 8.30am - 6pm.

On a day to day basis, you will act as the Responsible Pharmacist and play a pivotal role in terms of ensuring a safe and effective environment for our patients.

Duties to include but not be limited to:

  • Adhere to the GPhC Code of Conduct, uphold the standards for Pharmacy Professionals and support other members of the team to do so.

  • Provide professional and legal clinical supervision in the dispensary.

  • Undertake the role of the Responsible Pharmacist as required.

  • Ensure pharmaceutical aspects of patient care are provided in accordance with national and local standards and guidelines in order that statutory obligations are met.

  • Clinical query handling and resolution.

  • Support other members of the Pharmacy team to provide safe pharmaceutical care and ensure key performance indicators are met.

  • Strive to ensure the customer has a positive pharmacy experience.
