Active Fusion works in partnership with DN Colleges Group to deliver PE & Sports Coach Apprenticeships.

You will gain valuable experience through working with education or community-based organisations, providing quality apprenticeship experiences.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced staff and learn the skills required to work with children by shadowing and supporting; enhancing your sport delivery techniques and knowledge. You will also have the opportunity to share your own ideas and creativity to enrich the offering.

Duties

· Work alongside coaches and teachers to deliver fun, inclusive, and engaging PE lessons, supervising and supporting children.

· You will work 4 days a week with 1 day spent in college.

· Assisting teachers with the planning and execution of learning activities, including extra-curricular clubs.

· Providing support for student's social needs by encouraging and modelling positive behaviour.

· Work with teachers to help students gain the highest level they can by monitoring individual progress, achievements, and development.

We offer a variety of levels and pathways, and we tailor these to each applicant and their individual needs.

Upon successful placement with an employer, we offer guidance on the most suitable apprenticeship for you. We can offer:

· Level 2 Community Activator Coach

· Level 3 Community Sport Health Officer

· Level 4 Sports Coach

· Confident in building and maintaining relationships with young children.

· Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

· Able to follow instructions and complete tasks in a timely manner.

· Trustworthy with confidential information.

· Have a genuine interest in PE and sport., · Level 2: GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (desirable). If you do not have these, please still apply. For the right candidate we can offer functional skills alongside the programme.

· Level 3 and 4: GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (essential)

· Level 4: Previous experience of working with or coaching children or young people, plus a previous sport related qualification.
