Full Job Description

This is a Fixed term contract role; duration of the assignment will be 9 months . The EMEA Payroll Specialist is a cross-functional role, responsible for providing consistent payroll service and support to Jersey, Spain and Ireland and business units across the EMEA payroll department The role will ensure accurate and timely preparation and processing of the company's monthly payrolls and support enquiries from employees and line managers.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare, review, and reconcile the full outsourced payroll processing according to the monthly timetable.

  • Responsible for the preparation of multiple payrolls across Spain, Jersey and Ireland.

  • Reconcile and process third-party payments.

  • Complies with agreed processes and identifies any process improvements.

  • Prepare and deliver monthly post-commit reports and KPIs.

  • Contribute to the attainment of team KPIs and SLA measures.

  • Prepare and submit annual returns on time and accurately.

  • Maintains current knowledge of local legislation affecting payroll.

  • Deliver excellent day-to-day employee experience for employees globally.

  • Effectively manage business enquiries and escalate payroll issues.

  • Performs related duties as assigned and completes any other tasks necessary for administering a company's payroll process.

  • Maintain good business relationships with outsourced payroll providers.

  • Ensure that no change is processed in Payroll if it is not entered in the system of truth first (Oracle Fusion).

  • Reinforce use of self service to employee and line managers.

  • Review and approve ADP annual Payroll Calendars

  • Save and maintain all monthly payroll documents in the drive.

  • Support the creation of payroll playbook documents.

  • Securing smooth audits of payroll processes

  • Effectively manage business enquiries including more sensitive employee enquiries.

  • Observe etiquette and deliver an excellent standard of customer service.

  • Ability to work in a team is especially important.

  • Work closely with the accounting team to update and maintain accurate cost centres and GL codes.

  • Administer the Payslip Portal

  • Performs related duties as assigned and completes any other tasks necessary for administering a company's payroll process. Responsible for the timely response and resolution of enquiries from employees and line managers.



  • General education degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience in payroll processing.

  • Working knowledge of payroll across a range of Spain, ( essential ) Jersey and Ireland countries including statutory requirements such as year-end reporting.

  • Experience with additional countries in EMEA regions is not essential but would be beneficial.

  • Knowledge of payroll and people systems. (ADP and Oracle Fusion experience is not essential but would be beneficial)

  • Experienced in working with third party payroll vendors.

  • Knowledge of State legislative/labour laws.

  • Language - English, (Spanish and Polish will be beneficial)

  • Experienced in working within a high-volume payroll team for a multinational organisation.

  • Experienced at working within a Shared Service operating environment.

  • Experienced in working within a third-party payroll provider environment.

  • Experienced at working across multiple jurisdictions across EMEA.

  • Experienced in working as part of a larger team and in a Shared Service environment requiring collaboration across a number of different teams and functions.

  • Experienced in working across multiple payroll entities. Participate and contribute to the team initiatives/ objectives and drive to develop operational controls and processes.
