Full Job Description

Your initial responsibilities will be to understand how a childcare setting works while studying for your first qualification (Level 2). Along side studying for your qualification, you will learn how to:-

  • Ensure all the children's physical, emotional and developmental needs are met.

  • Carry out effective activity planning in line with nursery policies in order to provide the children with stimulating activities appropriate to their age and individual ability.

  • Maintain safe and clean surroundings at all times and follow health and safety and fire procedures.

  • A desire to learn and develop all the skills you will need to work in this industry, such good organisational skills.

  • Passionate about providing fantastic childcare.

    We are currently recruiting enthusiastic, confident people to learn to be nursery nurses in our Barry Nursery. The aim is that you will then have a permanent job with us, once you have completed your apprenticeship.


    • Candidates will embark on a childcare qualification soon after starting their job with us.

    You will work with a friendly, supportive team, caring for children between the ages of 0-8 years.

    Our nursery is open from 7.30am - 6pm.,
  • £8/hour (£1.60 above the NMW for apprentices)
