Maître d'hôtel

Linacre College is looking to appoint a Maître d'hôtel. This role is about ensuring that our event attendees and guests receive top-tier service and supervising our front of house staff.

The role is part time 12.67 hours a week with a 6-hour shift and unpaid 20mins break. The days and hours of work will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings between the hours of 16:30 to 22:30.

The successful applicant may be asked to work at major College events on some weekends and additional evenings during the year and flexibility from the postholder to accommodate this is desirable. These will be treated, and paid as, optional additional shifts and eligible for overtime payment with hours agreed with the Events Manager.

The salary will be £37,099 per year, pro-rata for part time appointments (£19.55 per hour). Benefits include free meals when on duty; Staff Pension Scheme; 38 days annual leave (includes 8 public holidays).
