Full Job Description

Caerphilly Miners Centre for the Community aims to 'breathe life' into the building through the development of community activities supporting wellbeing, volunteering, climate action and celebrating our social heritage.

The purpose of the job is to market our activities. This job is hybrid working. You may work from home but will be expected to attend staff and marketing meetings in person and to come to the centre to take photos when needed and update noticeboards.

The work is as follows:

  • Work in association with the board of trustees and staff team to create and subsequently follow a marketing strategy and monthly marketing plan.

  • Assist in updating our marketing policies and protocols for approval by the board.

  • Creation of advertising material to be used across the website, social media and in print.

  • Ensure clear brand identity is achieved across multiple concepts.

  • To review the website and update regularly to ensure it reflects the centre's current programme of events.

  • Utilise currently used social media platforms and to develop marketing concept and strategies for new platforms such as TikTok.

  • To identify, support and promote all areas of the business.

  • Monitor and respond to messages and comments across social media platforms.

  • To ensure that all content is delivered to the highest quality; particularly with regard to grammar, spelling and accuracy.

  • Ensure all marketing is bilingual.

  • Desirable Experience
  • Marketing and/or social media management experience.

  • Knowledge of Canva, Wix, Mailchimp or similar programs.

  • Fluent in Welsh.
