Full Job Description

As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, your responsibilities include leading the development and implementation of manufacturing processes for advanced battery systems for our revolutionary aircraft. You'll develop processes and documentation including Bills of Sequence, Bills of Process, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA). You will ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, and implement stringent quality control measures. Specify and deliver the equipment, systems and tools necessary for prototype and series production. You will be working closely with the design teams and suppliers to ensure that manufacturing and assembly considerations are built into battery design (DFM/DFA). You will report directly to the IPT Lead- Battery Manufacturing and be a key member of the team supporting the continued development of our in-house expertise, specialist knowledge and capabilities.

We want you to be successful in your role, in order to achieve this you'll need proven experience in manufacturing engineering, guiding products from prototype to volume production (NPI). Expertise in process development, optimization, and scale-up is essential, preferably in aerospace or automotive sectors. Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and certifications in battery manufacturing and aerospace quality management systems is desirable. Additionally you will need good skills/ knowledge of leadership and management, and the ability to collaborate with internal and external teams, suppliers and stakeholders. With the ability to thrive in a dynamic start-up environment with a high degree of ambiguity and uncertainty.
