Full Job Description

Our Environmental Health teams play an important role in delivering our ambitions and the Manager of Environmental Health will provide leadership for the service., You will provide strategic direction to the Environmental Health teams, ensuring the delivery of high quality and efficient services to our residents and businesses and supporting the delivery of the wider Corporate Plan. You will be key to ensuring that the service is delivered efficiently and meets requirements in relation to the delivery of our statutory duties. The role will report to the Assistant Director for Communities and Health as part of a wider Directorate Management Team.

We are looking for a qualified Environmental Health Practitioner, with significant previous experience across a range of Environmental Health activities, including leading and developing Environmental Health Services. The service incorporates Environmental Protection, Private Sector Housing Enforcement, Licensing and Commercial teams and sits within our Communities and Environment Directorate., You must be able to demonstrate previous experience of leadership and management behaviours, particularly in relation to working in a complex and fast paced work environment.
