Level 3 Dental Nurse Apprentice DR S J FRENCH

You will be taught how to assist a dentist and hygienist in all apsects of their work. This will include looking after the patient, taking accurate notes, assisting the clinician with placement of simple or complex restorations, dentures, root canal treatment and surgery., You will work in practice in Lyndhurst, Hampshire, 3 days a week and 1 day a week at Eastleigh College, Hampshire, Continued professional development is a required part of working as a dental nurse and mainaining your registration with the General Dental Council.
The opportunity to complete additional training in subjects such as radiography, impression taking, oral health education, implantology/orthodontic nursing etc.

GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 5) Essential
GCSE or equivalent Science (Grade 5) Desired, A caring, patient and empathic individual is key for the role. Patients are often nervous and will look to you for help and support. The ability to communicate with them, put them at ease and support them through treatment is an essential part of a dental nurses role.

We are a small, private dental practice in the heart of the New Forest. We are an established dental practice with a small, but established team.

You will be taught how to carry out thorough decontamination of the surgery and all instruments used.

You will learn basic reception skills and how to use a dental software package.

You will be taught how to develop digital x rays
