Full Job Description
As a Legionella Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for assessing and evaluating water systems to identify potential risks and develop strategies for the prevention and control of Legionella bacteria. This is a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals who may be exposed to Legionella in various settings.,
- Legionella Risk Assessments across a range of client properties
- Water sample collection
- Temperature monitoring of hot and cold domestic water systems
- Disinfection and descale of showerheads and hoses
- Water tank inspection, cleaning and disinfection
- TMV servicing
- Checking and monitoring chemical dosing systems
- Producing accurate reports and maintaining paperwork
- Building and maintaining a good rapport with the clients
- Have good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Be proficient in using IT packages (training will be provided on our in-house system)
- Administrative duties which will include the use of a phone/tablet to log your work tasks.
- City & Guilds Thermostat and Mixing Valves certification
- Unvented G3 Certificate, The candidate must be reliable, have the ability to work independently and as part of a team and be able to cope under pressure.
The successful applicant will be flexible as this position involves some travel and overnight stays although notice will be given and overnight bonus and subsistence paid.
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Legionella Risk Assessor / Water Hygiene Engineer to join our team., The candidate will hold an industry-accredited qualification for Legionella Risk Assessing and will have a full understanding of HSG274 and ACOP L8 guidance and regulation. You will also have a minimum of 2 years working as a risk assessor in previous roles within the industry.
The ideal candidate will also have experience as a water hygiene engineer carrying out regular water hygiene monitoring tasks and Hygiene-related remedial works such as TMV servicing and CWST cleans and disinfections.
The applicant must also have good people skills.

You must be prepared to travel and stay away from home when required
Must pass an Enhanced DBS
Must hold a Full Driving License (no more than 3 points)
