The role is for an Assembly Coordinator/Lead to join our established Team. This is a new role for PCMC and the successful candidate will be expected to both coordinate/lead assembly builds and be heavily involved in the build process to ensure timely and successful completion - the role is mechanically biased.,

  • Coordinate and manage daily and on-going assembly activities.

  • Work from complex assembly drawings, specifications and instructions to plan work in proper sequences

  • Assemble complex sections of machine of various combinations thereof as indicated by customer specifications

  • Lead, guide, coach or mentor less experienced team members

  • Review and prioritize shortages and report quality issues; communicate concerns and make recommendations for corrective actions

  • Collaborate with engineering on design/process opportunities based upon manufacturing needs

  • Develop assembly standards and processes based on improvement opportunities or quality/cost concerns

  • Assist in unload incoming trucks as directed

  • Ensuring parts meet quality requirements - detect defective materials, unusual conditions or operating difficulties and report to wider team describing in accurate detail to ensure proper corrective actions

  • Operate materials handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or organize storage

  • Actively participate in team meetings to communicate and help resolve any cost, quality, or production issues

  • Regularly and effectively communicate and interact with other team members

  • Maintain equipment and work area in clean and orderly fashion

  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures

  • Be prepared to undertake other tasks within the business if required

    Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management

  • Demonstrate the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload

  • Ability to cope with varied responsibilities and work as an individual or as part of a team

  • A drive and determination to succeed.

  • Be self-sufficient and adaptable.


  • PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
  • Computer skills, being proficient in Microsoft Office packages such as Excel, Word, and Outlook etc.

  • Forklift truck licence/experience

  • The ability to understand new concepts quickly and a willingness to learn new skills and knowledge
