Junior Estimator / Order Administrator

Our Special Fastener manufacturing business is seeking a conscientious administrator to assist in the development of profitable new business within the UK and abroad. The role will involve Purchasing, Estimating, Progressing and Order Processing.

Under the supervision of our Commercial Director, you will learn about our products, how we purchase raw materials, and how we manufacture and manage our workload.

Responsibilties

• Purchasing raw materials at the best possible prices.


• Liaising with subcontractors and our internal manufacturing team to estimate manufacturing costs for quoting jobs.


• Assisting in Processing Orders using Microsoft Excel.


• Working dynamically with other team members to win new business.


• Providing feedback and reports to Management.
  
  We currently employ 25 staff employed across Production and Sales and are now looking for motivated and ambitious individuals who want to become part of our business and help to drive it forward. There is a steep learning-curve, but we want you to become an indispensable part of the team who is in it for the long-term., You must be conscientious, hard-working and reliable.

• Confident dealing with Suppliers and Sub-Contractors


• An ability to effectively manage your own workload.


• Competent with standard IT software - Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.


• Confidence with basic maths.


• Any experience in engineering would be advantageous, but not essential.
