Interim Accounts Clerk

Level up your career with this exciting opportunity on a 6-month fixed term basis for our banking clerk role with ASDA Express!

Your responsibilities encompass supporting the banking team in their daily, weekly, and monthly tasks. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the finance department and the broader finance team by managing banking ledger accounts, ensuring the seamless processing of daily collections, and verifying monthly bank reconciliations. This dynamic role is both fast-paced and forward-thinking, offering an ideal opportunity for individuals seeking a long-term finance career within a thriving, expanding corporate enterprise. You will use your problem solving and initiative to identify and resolve discrepancies in bank reconciliation.

The successful candidate will use their initiative to solve problems and meet deadlines.,

• Ensure accurate reconciliation of Bank Statements with the companies ERP system (SAP) regularly


• Provide support for daily banking activities, including but not limited to transaction processing and documentation


• Monitor direct debit transactions within the business, ensuring they are process accurately and in a timely manner


• Demonstrate precision and attention to detail in reconciling bank balances to maintain financial accuracy Uploads of Bank Statements


• Manage the uploading of bank statements into the company's financial systems for record keeping and analysis


• Monitoring and clear transactions from the Bank General Ledger (GL) to ensure accurate financial reporting


• Using attention to detail when checking, coding, and inputting of all bank transactions into relevant systems


• Collaborate with other departments to facilitate payments and receipts, fostering effective teamwork and communication.


• Adhere to agreed banking service levels, ensuring al tasks are completed within established timelines and standards
  
  The ideal candidate is working towards finance / accounting qualifications and / or experience within a financial setting


• Results driven with proven record of delivery against KPIs and SLAs


• Strong organizational skills are essential, enabling candidates to effectively manage their time and workload to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently


• Proficiency in handling large datasets, conducting thorough transaction analysis, and comprehending complex financial processes and information is required for this role
