We are looking for a highly motivated and ethical HR Recruitment & Compliance Administrator who will undertake the day-to-day recruitment and administration processes within the School's small but busy Human Resources Department.

    You will be joining a team of friendly and hardworking individuals.

    The team divide their workload between them and support each other through constant communication and an agile way of working.

    Our Opportunity

    You will be working with key stakeholders to onboard candidates into our school; deal with employee job changes; bring some key efficiency measures; manage requests from Senior Leaders and Heads of Department amongst other activities.

    You will also manage all aspects of candidate contact and HR transactions through meticulous attention to detail, management of telephone and face-to-face enquiries in accordance with strict safeguarding guidelines and protocols. You will follow up on reference requests. Your written communication will be exemplary.

    You will work with key stakeholders continually to improve efficiency, simplicity and excellence in delivery. You will also ensure that HR processes are managed appropriately and effectively to minimise negative impacts or delays.

    You will be working as part of an integrated and collaborative management function that is focussed on driving success.

    About You

    You will be Educated to A level standard or equivalent and have A
  • - C GCSEs in English and Mathematics.


  • A willingness to develop and learn on the job is essential.

    A desire to work in a high-performing environment.

    You will have good knowledge of Microsoft Office (such as word and excel). A strong enthusiasm for IT and leveraging technology to enhance productivity would be beneficial.

    You will thrive in fast-paced environments and have good time management.

    You will understand and comply with confidentiality and safeguarding policies.

    You will Report to the HR Recruitment & Compliance Manager, this role is focused upon the recruitment of teaching and support staff, completion of pre-employment checks and liaison with The John Whitgift Foundation's central HR/Payroll Office.

    The HR Recruitment and Compliance Administrator will work 5 days per week, based at the school. The hours are 8.00 am to 5.00 pm (40 hours per week) with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.

    There will be an occasional requirement for flexibility with start and finish times to meet the needs of the department or for school events throughout the year.
