Full Job Description
- Adhering to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times
- You will be responsible for the accurate delivery, off-loading and collection of a range of modular buildings, portable cabins and related products up to size of 32ft x 10ft (9m x 3m) with the use of a lorry mounted crane (Hiab)
- A flexible approach to working start times as dictated by the needs of the business
- Daily vehicle safety checks to be completed alongside pre-use crane checks and lifting equipment and any defects are reported
- Complying with all relevant legislation in line with Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive requirements
- Providing a professional service when making deliveries and collections on site
- Load Security, ensuring all equipment is transported safely and correctly, in line with safe working practices
- Attend CPC training as directed by Pickerings Hire Ltd
- Willingness to utilise drawbar trailers wherever possible (class 1)
- Undertake any additional tasks as may reasonably be required from time to time
- Up to date delivery fleet of which you will be allocated a Volvo truck complete with FASSI 660 lorry loader
To Hold a Class 1 / C+E licence with Wagon and Drag experience being the preference (Class C Licence holders will be considered in some circumstances) - Must hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Must hold a valid Driver CPC
- ALLMI Lorry Loader accreditation D1+E Hook (or equivalent) advantageous
- Candidates must be professional and approachable at all times. This is a customer facing role
- Experience in a similar role would be advantageous, however not essential
- Evidence provided and licence check to be completed at interview stage
