Full Job Description

This role will be responsible for developing and delivering the Entertainment strategy, leading large scale ATL prospect Entertainment campaigns, as well as supporting a wide variety of shows with customer engagement support - all through insightful strategic thinking and excellent creative judgement across all touchpoints.

Department overview

This role sits within the Content Products team, which consists of Sky Entertainment, Sky Sports, Sky Cinema and Sky Store.

What you'll do:

Strategy:

  • Develop the annual and quarterly plans for Sky Entertainment

  • Working with the Planning and NOW team to recommend the right Entertainment campaigns, phasing and spend within the annual plan

  • Continually looking for brand new ways to support entertainment show and drive buzz

  • Work closely with the Consumer and Content strategy team to evaluate and assess show / campaign performance and KPI's including brand health, funnel metrics, viewing metrics and talkability


  • Marketing:
  • Keep ahead of developments in the entertainment category and informed of competitor activity, incorporating fresh approaches into marketing and business plans where relevant

  • Challenge media and creative agencies to deliver best in class, award-winning work. Push to ensure ATL campaigns are innovative and have elements of experimentation that cut through in a competitive market

  • Developing brand positioning and design for any new propositions or creative vehicles

  • Work closely with internal business team: align with PR, Social, Influencer, Digital, programming, and scheduling teams to develop campaigns that drive talkability and buzz

  • Design and deliver 1-2-1 communication for Sky customers to drive engagement and viewing, leveraging data and executing across all available channels and RTMs


  • Managing and leading a large team:
  • Managing a large team, with multiple skills at different levels.

  • Setting the direction, and helping them prioritise their tasks and manage resource effectively

  • Developing a team that are the best at their levels and continually supporting their development


  • Stakeholder management & collaboration:
  • Be key point person to HBO, Peacock, TVP, Content teams, representing Sky's audience and using insight to support decisions on the content they buy and/or make

  • Exceptional communication and relationship management skills; capable of winning hearts and minds internally, and with external partners

  • Developing strong relationships with relevant internal stakeholders, studios, other Sky territories as well as agency partners to achieve marketing and business results

    Requires knowledge, experience and a passion for entertainment with a proven flair for creativity and desire for improving content marketing

  • A background in content marketing would be highly preferred

  • Marketing Strategy and Campaign experience: Deep experience and knowledge of delivering multi-million-pound campaigns and achieving ambitious targets and viewing metrics

  • Provide visible leadership for a high achieving team, giving clear direction and leading from the front

  • Able to build a team coach, mentor and train a mix of individuals

  • Manage resource across the team for multiple projects to ensure fair and effective workload distribution
