Full Job Description

The Head of Finance will work proactively with key stakeholders to ensure that finance becomes embedded in the division and decision making. The role will facilitate value adding strategic financial advice and wider support to the Divisional Leadership Team, but in particular the Divisional CEO and Director of Operations, to ensure that financial and non-financial performance is optimised.,

  • Work alongside the Divisional CEO and the Director of Operations to provide commercially appropriate financial insight and challenge to support the delivery of the Division's strategy.

  • Nurture the existing finance talent globally, both within the Division directly and in the wider function.

  • Run the annual budget and rolling three-year plan process, in line with the division's Value Creation Plan.

  • Work alongside HR to track capacity and develop performance frameworks to continually improve the team.

  • Ensure that you work closely with your team to understand and monitor risks and opportunities on a regular basis to enable accurate forecasting to aid decision making and to update the Executive Board (as necessary).

  • Attend the Monthly Review Meetings ('MRM'), as appropriate, with members of the Executive Board and assist the Divisional CEO and Director of Operations to appraise performance with a particular view to the future forecast.

  • Prepare the Commercial Services section of the monthly Group Board pack.

  • Ensure that your team provide timely and accurate MI and proprietary information needs to a high standard and present them to the senior stakeholders in the business to allow informed decisions that drive performance.

    To achieve this you must be passionate about driving value and profitable growth and business performance as well as process improvement and demonstrate strong commercial acumen. International experience is essential alongside strong knowledge and experience of transformational change powered by technology improvement and process optimisation., The role requires a qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, with significant experience of a commercial finance role in a large, international company;

  • Strong communication skills and demonstrable experience of building strong and robust relationships will be an essential requirement;

  • A proven track record in having influenced key stakeholders to positively drive business performance and financial controls and understanding;

  • A high level of commercial and strategic acumen and the ability to educate and support the business to understand their finance performance;

  • Experience in an international business and familiar with the challenges of managing multi-country financial reporting and systems, as well as different cultures;

  • Experience of managing, building and developing high performing teams is required, ideally at an international level;

  • Demonstrable experience of effective prioritisation and successful outcomes within a fast paced, constantly evolving environment; and
