This pivotal role involves crafting content that improves conversations between St. James's Place, its Partners, and their clients and prospects. You will lead all aspects of a content hub producing a wide range of content types, ensuring consistency with the SJP narrative and advice framework.

This role requires fluency across multiple channels including print, online, F2F, eCRM, Partnerships, and advertising, and requires a keen understanding of channel-specific nuances.

What you'll be doing:

  • Collaborating closely with various departments and interpreting their briefs to create high-quality content.

  • Working with agencies to ensure the delivery of outstanding content.

  • Ensuring all published copy meets the highest standards.

  • Crafting targeted and channel-appropriate content for brochures, emails, websites, and social media.

  • Identifying and promoting newsworthy stories that position SJP as a thought leader.

  • Writing clear, compelling, and original copy, and revising content as needed.

Experience: Significant professional writing experience, preferably within a media company or agency. Prior experience at a senior copywriter level is essential.

  • Skills: Deep understanding of creative processes, digital media, and operational streamlining. Strong record in crafting standout copy and outstanding customer service skills.

  • Knowledge: Familiarity with compliance, regulatory standards, and data protection. Financial services experience is a plus but not crucial.

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to communicate sophisticated concepts in engaging ways and ensure consistent, optimized content across the business.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong influencing skills, assertiveness, and the ability to lead and empower others. Excellent senior stakeholder management and collaboration abilities.

  • Financial Management: Experience in managing a budget of circa £500k.

  • Special Requirements: Willingness to travel as needed. The role includes chairing the Content Community and representing Marketing in strategic sessions.
