Full Job Description

Langley School is excited to partner with Norwich Rugby Club to invite applications for two Graduate Sports Assistant roles to assist with the delivery of our growing Games and PE provision, from September 2024.

The focus of these roles will be to specifically support our Rugby program and thriving strength and conditioning provision during PE lessons and Games sessions.

Co-curricular activities and clubs are a big part of life at our school and the individuals appointed will need to play an enthusiastic part in this area too. In addition to the role at school, our partnership with Norwich Rugby Club will require the successful candidates to train and play with the 1st XV team at Norwich Rugby Club.

This is an exciting opportunity to help develop sport in a vibrant and supportive environment as well as giving the opportunity to play competitive rugby at weekends.

The post is suited to candidates with the ability to extend, challenge and develop our most able performers, and to those who possess the ability to inspire and nurture a love for sport in every pupil in the school. Whilst specific coaching qualifications are not a pre-requisite for the role, candidates should have significant playing and coaching expertise in Rugby as well as experience and an understanding of Strength & Conditioning and Performance Analysis. An interest in other sports, specifically Cricket and/or Athletics is also advantageous. On-site living accommodation may be available with this role.
