Full Job Description
We looking to recruit a governance, risk and compliance specialist to support the board in delivering its strategy of growth.
This is a varied role requiring knowledge of the principles of risk management and an interest in IT.
Governance
· Liaise with the Chief Executive, Director Finance & Risk and Board and Committee Chairs to prepare meeting agendas and meeting paper packs.
· Maintain a library of governance documents, managing version control and ensure reviews are undertaken at agreed intervals.
· Review compliance of the organisation's corporate governance arrangements with the UK Corporate Governance Code.
Risk
· Chair meetings of the Risk Management Team.
· Maintain the Society Risk Register, Risk Appetite Framework and ORSA record.
· Be responsible for the production of the annual Own Risk and Solvency Assessment Report.
· Be responsible for managing Health & Safety Risk, Conduct Risk and HR risk reduction programmes.
· Lead, in conjunction with outsourced hardware and software suppliers, the management of IT risk, including maintaining cyber essentials accreditation and the testing and application of software releases.
Compliance
· Prepare and submit a number of regulatory returns to PRA, FCA and HMRC including persistency, complaints and product sales data.
· Support the Chief Executive and Compliance Manager in delivering the organisations ongoing Consumer Duty monitoring.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a regulated environment and have a good understanding of risk management and especially the management of IT risk.
They will be working in a small team, to internal and external deadlines and be articulate and numerate.
Whilst there are no specific qualification requirements the successful candidate may have a degree in risk management, business or finance or a related subject, or relevant experience.
The organisation will support the candidate through professional risk management examinations.
Based in Bury, North Manchester, Healthy Investment in one of the UK's oldest financial mutuals, providing a range of ethical savings and investment products direct to members and financial advisers.
Up to £30k depending on experience
