Full Job Description

As a Events Coordinator, you will work closely with the Commercial Director reporting to the Events Sales Manager to convert and maximise hotel and event enquiries and bookings.,

  • Handling incoming corporate queries, sending proposals, contracts and conducting site inspections where required.

  • Compiling accurate function sheets, distributing weekly and discussing with the Operations Team, accordingly, providing updates as required.

  • To request all deposits / payments and ensure receipt of deposits within the contractual period along with creating postings.

  • To provide support to the Sales when required for example in dealing with enquiries, conducting show-rounds and any additional request as required.

  • You will ensure all events run smoothly by using the relevant systems to generate function sheets and liaising with the operational departments to ensure understanding before handing the event over to be run by the operations team.

  • Ensuring a high rate of conversion, from enquiry to event bookings.

  • Creating outstanding relationships with event organisers to ensure their vision is met.

  • Receive and follow up on event enquiries in a timely manner.

  • Develop future and repeat business with both new and existing clients.

  • Maximise sales revenue by converting business and up-selling.

  • When required, join daily/weekly meetings.

    Have a true passion for hospitality and service.

  • Hotel Corporate Conference Event Sales experience.

  • An ability to use your initiative when faced with customer worries concerns and create a workable solution.

  • A confident and dynamic speaker, able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels.

  • You're great with computers and hopefully have knowledge of Opera.

  • Since we have guests from all over the world, speaking additional lingos is an advantage.

  • Competent level of English spoken and written.

  • Detail-oriented, organised, and capable of handling multiple tasks at the same time.

  • Having a reliable method of transportation to the hotel is essential - we have no on-site parking., In line with the requirements of UK immigration legislation, all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK. Documentary evidence of eligibility to work will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process.

    The hotel consists of 192 design-led bedrooms, complemented by Parker's Tavern, a high-end, quintessentially British restaurant bar, along with the adjoining library, bar, and ballroom.
