Full Job Description

We currently have a vacancy for Engineering Manager - Projects at our site in Rawcliffe Bridge.

  • This is a pivotal role which will support our operations and engineering functions to deliver small to medium scale engineering-based projects and improvements.

  • You will work with the site teams to generate and prioritise area project lists to include feasibility studies, cost benefit analysis, etc.

  • You will work closely with Plant managers and teams to define project goals, milestones, and deliverables.

  • You will lead the compilation and submission of capital expenditure request.

  • You will own and manage the site project portfolio and budget to include periodic review and reporting of performance to the site senior team.

  • You will lead and develop multi-disciplinary project teams to design, review and implement capital projects ensuring these are in line with the investment programme and that they meet site safety and statutory requirements. This will include overall responsibility for cost estimation, defining detailed scopes and scheduling assigned projects.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of managing complex engineering projects.

  • Knowledge of relevant industry legislation such as CDM, PSSR and EaW.

  • Good problem-solving capability and the ability to function efficiently in a complex manufacturing environment with multiple stakeholders.

  • You will have proven leadership skills and be able to demonstrate a successful track record of leading change.


  • Desirables:
  • Relevant degree or HNC

  • COMAH experience

  • Experience of using SAP

  • Experience in the development and delivery of long-term asset life-plans and critical assessment of supporting schemes of examination.
