Full Job Description

  • To operate in line with all Wavin H&S Standards and the implementation and adherence to safe working practices in accordance with legislation

  • To be trained to set up, operate and adjust a range of clay processing equipment, including dryers and kilns

  • To assist the Production team in all aspects of clay processing

  • To attend structured lectures to attain the Level 3 qualification and have a desire to further education, You will study on a Level 3 Engineering Technician standard on a Mechatronics Maintenance Technician pathway. On completion of this, you will gain

    Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)

  • Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) - Mechatronics Maintenance Technician

  • Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)


  • During the first year of the apprenticeship, your learning will take place at the University of Sheffield's AMRC Training Centre based at Catcliffe, Rotherham, for an initial block of study on a full-time basis. After this, you will attend the Training Centre for one day a week for knowledge study., Communication skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Analytical skills, Logical, Team working, Initiative, GCSE or equivalent English Language (Grade Grade C or 4) Essential
    GCSE or equivalent Mathematics (Grade Grade C or 4) Essential
