Full Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on Deputy General Manager who has a love of great food, people and genuine hospitality. Someone with drive and ambition, who can inspire and motivate their team and themselves whilst delivering an amazing experience for all our guests that dine, drink and stay with us.

The Role:

To support the General Manager and to be a leader of people and to help grow a positive experience and a fantastic team. You will maintain the highest standards of service and operate in line with all company policies when deliver food, drinks, service and hotel operations and standards.

You will be forward thinking and innovative in your approach to sales growth, improving profitability and the guests overall experience. You will need a sound financial underpinning, with real experience of delivering on set financial targets. You will be responsible for a high turnover operation, so you will need previous experience of leading teams to deliver key set standards and financial targets.

In addition, you will lead from the front driving genuine hospitality, delivering amazing food and drinks making wonderful memories for all the team and guests.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is currently (or has been) in a General Manager / Deputy General Manager role within a restaurant, bar and hotel environment

  • Is a commercially aware leader who ensures your team delivers exceptional food and drinks quality

  • Is passionate about people, cares about their guests and team, creating a positive place to be

  • Constantly inspires their team to go the extra mile for our guests' maintaining expectations and high standards

  • Recognises succession for a strong talent pipeline and are proactive in developing their management, front of house and kitchen teams

  • Has some prior experience within a kitchen, working with the Head Chef to support and lead the kitchen team

  • Able to stay calm and lead their team to success in a high paced environment


  • We're looking for someone who can:
  • Manage recruitment, induction and on boarding of new team members

  • Support the Head Chef, pushing the team and the business forward

  • Demonstrate leadership with a hands-on approach and effective communication, engaging and motivating your team through pre-shift and post-shift briefs

  • Manage stock control and food and drink margins

  • Manage EHO and Health and Safety audits to a high standard

  • Deliver to specification and brand standards

  • Drive individual high performance through development and regular team one to ones

  • Have an eye for detail and thrive in a high volume fast paced environment

  • Show passion for the brand, visible when ensuring your team are knowledgeable and confident
