4C Strategies is one of the leading independent IT consultancies in the UK public sector. As part of our exciting growth plans, we are looking to expand our emerging cyber team with the recruitment of a Cyber Security Consultant.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about Cyber Security and are keen to develop and grow with us. You'll bring excellent client facing experience to the role and you may be transitioning into Cyber Security from other areas such as Networking. You will provide guidance and expertise, whilst building professional business relationships with customers and suppliers.

What you'll be doing

As a Consultant, you will have a varied and exciting workload, working directly with clients and supporting senior colleagues with a range of on and off-site client work including:

  • Delivery of client engagements supporting governance, risk and compliance against a range of cyber security regulations, framework and standards, including ISO27001, CAF and PCI-DSS

  • Analyse existing security policies, procedures, and controls to identify gaps and vulnerabilities.

  • Keeping abreast of latest development within Cyber Security through pro-active research

  • Audit and documentation of client's cyber environment

  • Client Stakeholder Consultation

  • Client Needs Analysis

  • Assistance with Strategy Development to mitigate risks and enhance resilience

    To be considered for this excellent opportunity, you must have:
  • Experience of complex ICT systems in a technical delivery or consulting capacity

  • A good understanding of enterprise information and communications technology

  • The ability to present and justify conclusions to project teams and business stakeholders

  • Proven abilities in delivering to client expectations and requirements

  • At least 3 years working in a consulting role and ideally cyber security consulting

  • A demonstrable understanding of cyber risk management frameworks (e.g. CAF, ISO27001) and industry best practices

  • Relevant cyber security certifications are highly desirable

  • Previous technical support or project experience

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • The ability and desire to learn how to produce and present consultancy reports

  • A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle, Bachelor's (preferred)

The role will be a homebased, hybrid role, with a requirement to work from our Market Harborough office once a week and on our client sites as required by specific projects.

    We are offering the following package for the successful Cyber Security Consultant:
  • Between £45,000 - £55,000, subject to experience

  • 3% Pension contributions

  • 25 days holiday + Bank holidays

  • Option to purchase an additional 5 days holiday

  • Home based with an expectation of 1 day in the office per week and work on UK client sites as required
