Through our brands Topdeck Travel and Back-Roads Touring we are ever developing our product range, driving growth in key sales markets (Australia, New Zealand & North America), innovating product delivery and ensuring we deliver a first-class customer experience. Don't worry if you can't find Global Touring when you search online - this is our internal brand; externally we only use our customer-facing brands.

Topdeck and Back-Roads serve very different customers, however our 'one best way' approach is consistent and effective in supporting the specific strategy and activity for each brand. At Global Touring, each team member works across both of our brands with equal commitment.

We're looking for someone to join our team that aligns perfectly with our brand and values... if this sounds like you then keep reading!, We're looking for an energetic writing wizard with a passion for storytelling and a keen eye for detail who will come in and hit the ground writing! A spelling and grammar perfectionist who can spot an incorrect apostrophe a mile away, and who's confident writing anything from an inspirational blog post to ad copy where every. word. counts. A crafty, organised lover of travel, we want someone who can come in and hit the ground writing. As part of the wider Marketing and Sales team - you'll amplify the magic of Topdeck Travel and Back-Roads Touring on a daily basis.,

  • Produce engaging, inspirational and actionable copy that adheres to our tone of voice, ensuring consistency and quality across written communication.

  • Upkeep the consistency of our brands' tone of voice across all your copy for a seamless customer experience.

  • Combine business objectives, marketing messages and product details to create engaging copy across multiple channels. This includes (but is not exclusive to) website copy, trade marketing materials, emails, blogs and brochures.

  • Receive briefs in an agency-style manner. You'll be well rehearsed at delivering quality work in a fast-paced environment.

  • End-user-obsessed, your copy will be targeted, inspirational and actionable.

  • Take insights from SEO, brand, product and sales teams to inform your copy whilst delivering copy at pace to strict deadlines.

  • An excellent communicator with a proven ability to maintain strong and considered brand voices - across print and digital platforms, editorial and commercial scenarios with end user at forefront of mind.

  • Understand the target audience and channel, with skills to adapt copy and style to suit each demographic - from Gen Z to people in their 60s and 70s!

    2+ years copywriting experience across print and web platforms including both editorial and commercial.

  • Exceptional writing skills with impeccable spelling and no tolerance for poor grammar and typos

  • Able to take and action feedback, rejection and constructive criticism - as well as being able to back your own ideas.

  • Ability to write with speed, consistency, accuracy and creative flair with equal excitement to write for both of our brands.

  • Knowledge of Australian culture is highly desirable (this is our primary audience).

  • A basic understanding of SEO best practice.

  • Problem solver with a positive can-do attitude, looking for solutions.

  • An excellent communicator and team player with a high level of emotional intelligence.

  • And of course, a love for all things travel-related!
