An exciting opportunity to be part of the Greater Manchester Liaison and Diversion Team as a Community Engagement Worker.

The role of Community Engagement Worker has been developed specifically for people who have lived experience of vulnerabilities including: mental health / substance misuse / learning difficulties / neurodiversity / homelessness / Criminal Justice System (as examples) to support others who may benefit from community support into access of such, in addition to other treatment and interventions.

The Community Engagement Worker will act as an advocate, will agree goals with the client and support to access relevant services, will provide emotional and practical support.

Through using wisdom from your own experiences, you will inspire hope and belief that living well is possible in others and will use your skills to support access to services to do this.

  • Community based support, working across the Greater Manchester footprint.

  • Support and promote recovery from vulnerabilities and challenges as a user led concept.

  • To work as an advocate.

  • Working closely with the Criminal Justice Services and Voluntary sector.

  • Referral into and signpost onto appropriate support services in local community.
