Full Job Description

Produce high quality diagnostic images and provide high quality patient care to the service users adhering to national guidelines and taking into account relevant legislation including, but not limited to, the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IR(ME)R) 2017 and the Ionising Radiation Regulations 2017 (IRR17).

You will be a highly motivated professional, with excellent communication skills, initiative and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
You will be enthusiastic with a desire to support and mentor less experienced members of the team to benefit our patients and our service.
As a highly skilled Radiographer with significant plain film experience, you will provide a caring, compassionate approach within our high quality imaging team. You will need to liaise with the Team Leaders to ensure appropriate training is delivered to other staff as required.
The post holder will have a flexible approach to their working life as we run a 7 day service. This is a pan site role with primary responsibility for our Fenland sites (Doddington Community Hospital, Princess of Wales Hospital, Ely and North Cambridgeshire Hospital). Participation in the out of hour's service is expected which involves daytime weekend duties. Access to a vehicle is required., The post holder will participate in all areas of the clinical rota which is focussed on plain film radiographer working independently and unsupervised. The ability to prioritise the workload is essential. Provide leadership, motivation and training for junior staff.
