CAD Technician / Estimator

Due to continued investment and expansion, we are now looking for a Laser CAD Technician / Estimator. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone from a Laser / Pressbrake background.,

• Converting 2D/3D CAD drawings into functional programs for laser cutting and folding


• Modify existing drawings to suit customer requirements


• NC and output programs for shopfloor


• Create work orders, job packs and quotations for customers using Microsoft Office


• Update and maintain material stock record


• Liaise with suppliers


• Deal with customers, queries, problems


• Office administration duties as required by the Technical Sales Manager


• Work within a team to achieve targets and customer delivery dates
  
  Thorough understanding of technical drawings


• Working knowledge of sheet metal flat pattern developments


• CAD/CAM ideally in SigmaNest


• Experience of Solidworks


• Self-disciplined and ability to manage workload effectively


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Desired Characteristics:

• Experience in CNC laser cutting, nesting and folding sheet steel


• Experience with Bysoft programming software advantageous


• Ideally - clean driving licence
