Full Job Description
- Deliver high-quality teaching in Art & Design subjects, inspiring and motivating students to achieve their full potential.
- Develop engaging lesson plans and innovative teaching materials to support student learning.
- Demonstrate a high-level of practical skill and proficiency within one or more creative disciplines.
- Use industry knowledge and expertise to develop a curriculum that responds to the local and national skills needs.
- Carry out assessment and provide constructive feedback and support to students to enhance their skills and knowledge and ensure their ongoing success.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and collaboration, and promotes equality, diversity, and respect.
- Contribute towards departmental self-assessment and ongoing quality improvements.
- Conduct student interviews that are fair and consistent and provide applicants with appropriate information, advice and guidance about our courses.
- Participate in marketing and recruitment events, such as open evenings, end of year exhibitions, and taster days.
- Demonstrate a good awareness of Safeguarding and Health & Safety policies and procedures within a creative environment.

We're seeking a talented and dedicated individual to join our highly successful team as a Full-Time Art & Design Lecturer within the Creative Industries Faculty., Experience working within the creative industries, with a strong understanding of current trends and practices. - Ideally, experience teaching University of the Arts London (UAL) creative qualifications (Levels 1 - 4).
- A relevant degree or professional qualification in Art & Design or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to teaching and learning.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and keeping up-to-date with developments within your respective field.
