Full Job Description

Greeting clients and visitors as they arrive at Reception. Answering the telephone, taking messages and passing to appropriate personnel. Ensuring that all the client information held on the electronic patient record is correct. Arranging client transport as required.

Using various computer systems to book in x-rays, clinics, cancel appointments, arrange appointments. Log any maintenance issues. Processing incoming post, distributing appropriately, and dispatching outgoing post. Typing of reports etc as required.

Assisting in the maintenance of administrative systems. Participate in appropriate meetings, training and service development. Support with the induction of new staff to the team as required including those helping out on a short-term basis. Use computers for data input and retrieval as appropriate, including scanning and uploading on to the electronic patient record all client related documents.

Provide cross cover for colleagues during periods of absence, acting up and down when required.
