Year 10 Lead

T1 to T14 plus TLR3
£17,208 - £39,656 + £3,606
From January 2019

Due to the promotion of the current postholder, we are seeking a new Year 10 Lead. The purpose of this role is to support our Year 10 students to fulfil their potential. This post would suit an established Year Head or an ambitious colleague, with a strong interest in pastoral work, seeking their first pastoral leadership role.

UTC Norfolk is a 14-19 school with a fabulous £10m building with a 21st century learning space, £1.3m of specialist equipment and a burning ambition: to develop tomorrows engineering and technology specialists. To do this, we aim to ensure that our students have the skills, qualifications and experience to go to university, to take-up skilled apprenticeships or employment. We have a specialism in engineering but we also cater for 14-19 age students with interests in Science, Computing and Mathematics.

Our results are rising strongly and our student destinations are impressive. 100% of our class of 2016, 2017and 2018 are now studying at top universities, are employed or are working in well paid apprenticeships. Prospects for our 2019 cohort look just as good!

As well as taking on the role of Year 10 Lead, you will need to be able to teach a STEM subject at both KS4 and KS5. Support for undertaking the NPQML will be provided.

If you are:

-an effective teacher with the ability to teach a STEM subject to A Level
-a strong interest in pastoral work
-able to communicate effectively with students and their parents
-able to do what you say you will, when you say you will
-determined to ensure UTCN is the top provider of its type in the country

Then we want to hear from you.

Closing date: 9.00am, Monday, October 15
Interviews: October 18 or 19
