Web Development Manager

Archant Information Services is predominantly based in Norwich with support roles in our regional offices in Cheltenham, Barking, Stevenage, Ipswich, Kensington and Weston-super-Mare. We are responsible for providing IT support to Archants employees throughout the Group. Day to day, this starts with our in-house 1st line Service Desk, through to 2nd and 3rd line technical support teams. Internal development teams support business needs and requirements to deliver small, medium and large projects as well as maintaining our in-house bespoke software for our editorial, design, finance, HR and sales departments.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Web Development Manager to join our busy IS team. Working for one of the countrys leading regional media publishers, you will lead our team of web developers, provide technical guidance as well as develop, enhance and maintain new and existing web applications in a controlled and structured manner.
With a proven track record in web development, you will also have team leader or managerial experience. With sound technical knowledge, you will have the ability to plan and manage your own workload, and others, often within tight deadlines.
This is a demanding role requiring you to work across a breadth of areas, delivering against what are often fixed deadlines, in accordance with established project management frameworks.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership, communication and organisation skills and be confident in building relationships with people at all levels.
