Therapeutic Residential Childcare Worker Clover Childcare Services provide a supportive and therapeutic home environment for children whose lives have been characterised by trauma. We are now looking for a Therapeutic Residential Childcare Workers to join our team based in Acle (Norfolk) and Stalham (Norfolk) on a full-time permanent basis.

At Clover Childcare Services we are an independent provider of specialist Childrens Homes, based in North Norfolk. We are passionate and committed to our work, pursuing an integrated approach to care, education and therapy to provide residential placements for children. Our Homes have been rated Outstanding by Ofsted since 2010.

The role of a Therapeutic Residential Childcare Worker is rewarding and fulfilling, however can be challenging and demanding at times.  With support and guidance from our enthusiastic, well-trained and experienced teams and managers, you will work a 39 hour week on a shift system including some weekends and sleep-ins (for which an additional sleep-in allowance is paid).

Your key duties will include:

  • Forming constructive relationships with children and their families to ensure that a caring environment is maintained, their emotional and physical needs are met.
  • Delivering against safe care standards ensuring opportunities for childrens development is  maximised
  • Developing personal and practical skills to enhance independent living
  • Reporting and recording key aspects of care
  • Managing complex behaviour that can be challenging

Skills and Attributes

  • Successful candidates are likely to have come from a social care, education or nursing background or have a specific interest in working with children.
  • A full driving licence is essential.
  • Salary is dependent on experience and qualification.
  • Full mandatory and specialised training is provided as part of your personal development
