Shop Manager  - Full time
Assistant Manager - Full/part time

For the last 3 years a team of volunteers have worked hard to bring a shop, café, Post Office and the former walled garden back to Little Plumstead, Norwich. Having formed a limited company and taken tenancy of the grounds, our aim is to create a thriving hub for all the local community to share and enjoy. We are so pleased to be able to confirm that after much planning and preparation the dream is finally becoming a reality and The Walled Garden will be opening soon.

Are you a Manager with experience in food retailing as well as hospitality? Are you passionate about what you do and up for a challenge? Then The Walled Garden definitely wants to hear from you!

We are looking for a Full-time Shop Manager and a full-time/part-time Assistant Manager to oversee the day to day running of our soon to be open community shop, café and Post Office. This position may suit those who have worked in an independent local store, especially if a Post Office function was offered within the premises.

Our Managers will be working with volunteers from the local community to deliver a great shopping and recreational experience to all of our customers.

You will need to have worked at a management or department head level, be computer literate and have an excellent working knowledge of consumer law, food retail legislation, health and safety, security and stock control.

As well as offering the right people the chance to get on board at the opening of this exciting venture we also offer a competitive salary, contributory pension, 28 days holiday (pro rata for part time).
