Sessional Lecturer in Business
Approximately 18 hours per week
Sessional Grade 4/5, £20.43 per hour plus 4.79 holiday pay, (£25.22 per hour)
Permanent, required from 1st September 2019

Due to an expansion of our vocational courses, we are seeking to grow the delivery team for our Business courses. We are looking for a well-qualified, experienced and inspirational lecturer to join our vocational Business teaching team to support the delivery of our provision.

The department currently offers a range of courses across Level 2 & 3 and are launching the BTEC Foundation Diploma (2016) Business in September 2019. The successful applicant will bring their teaching experience and contribute enthusiastically to the planning, preparation and delivery of our business courses. A specialism to teach the Accounting and Finance topics would be advantageous.

You will work closely with colleagues to ensure that the requirements of the qualifications outlined in the specification/s are met and you will be able to deliver high quality planned sessions to students which are active and engaging, motivating, provide high levels of challenge and support progress through ongoing feedback in a variety of forms to ensure that students can achieve their full potential and high grades.

In addition to the planning and teaching of our business courses, the successful applicant will use their professional skills and industrial experiences to support our business students with developing their employability and transferable soft skills they will need to progress into their chosen employment route, apprenticeship or university course.
