Service Manager

Salary:  £23,548

Sale Road, Norwich

The Organisation At Norwich and Central Norfolk Mind, we work hard to help people recover from mental health problems and develop resilience for the future. We are a leading mental health charity in Norwich and central Norfolk, providing services which make a real difference to peoples lives. We are a wonderful employer: flexible and supportive. We provide excellent supervision and a good training package.

The Job We are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years experience working within the mental health sector to manage some of our projects. The role would suit someone passionate about mental health who understands boundaries and who is enthusiastic about leading three small teams in a variety of roles.  The successful candidate will report directly into the Head of Recovery and will be responsible for ensuring that the teams possess the skills, knowledge and motivation to offer and deliver the highest quality of care.

You will need experience of working with people who have a personality disorder, be creative and imaginative, have management experience a mental health setting and can lead staff by example. We would love to hear from you if you are a team player and can lead a small group of staff and volunteers to improve the lives of those attending the groups.

The Projects

Waves Personality Disorder Service This is a popular service supporting people with a personality disorder to achieve their full potential.  It offers a day programme to those who feel able to receive as well as provide peer support to others in the group.  Norwich and Central Norfolk Mind are provided with clinical advice to ensure that all group attendees and staff have effective support.

Central Community Response Team this exciting project aims to provide a 24/7 crisis support helpline and a dedicated drop in service for people with mental health problems. Evidence shows that these sorts of projects are very effective in reducing the demand on secondary services and also help service users to feel more in control.

A&E Liaison Services Norwich Mind have been commissioned to work in partnership with the Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust Mental Health Liaison Team based at the NNUH to provide brief intervention to people discharged from hospital but who may not require secondary mental health services after suffering an episode of crisis or poor mental health.
