Senior Support Worker

Dual Location Ipswich & Colchester

Salary up to £9.45 per hour depending on experience and qualifications

Senior Support Worker Inroads, based in Hadleigh, Suffolk (just 8.3 miles from Ipswich and 17 miles from Colchester) provide a supportive culture and environment for their staff, offering a fantastic opportunity for career progression internally. We are recruiting for a Senior Support Worker to work with young people and adults with a range of abilities including learning disabilities, behavioural challenges and other complex needs. In return we are paying up to £9.45 per hour depending on experience.



Some key responsibilities include:

  • Be a great team member and part of the Inroads family
  • Provide personal care
  • Be aware of and act within Suffolk and Inroads Safeguarding and Vulnerable Children Adults Policy and Procedure
  • Contribute to the health, safety and security of individuals and their environment

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes 

  • Be a great leader and organiser
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • An empathetic and sensitive approach to people
  • Willingness to complete care qualification relevant to the role
  • Reliable / Flexible
  • Be a positive role model

On offer is a salary of up to £9.45 per hour dependant on experience and qualifications. You will also be entitled to paid breaks and 28 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays. Driving licence preferred but not essential as there is only a limited bus service.
