SENDco/ Class room teacher

Teaching Commitment:  0.5
Grade:  MPS/ UPS + SEN allowance

We are looking for an exceptional SENDco to lead our team of teaching assistants and provide guidance and support for other staff.  You will have a clear vision for SEND provision, be committed to inclusion and have the skills needed to establish your team quickly.  Liaison with our Cluster schools and high school academy to ensure smooth transition for vulnerable pupils and allocation of SEN resources will be a major part of the role.

Wayland Junior Academy is part of Norfolk Academies.   We are a friendly school situated in the popular growing market town of Watton.  There are 274 children on roll from years 3 to 6 with a growing demographic.

Ofsted recognised (January 2017) the significant improvements that we have made.

We are looking for someone who is:

- passionate about teaching and learning
- an experienced SENDCo and holds the national SEN qualification.
- has experience of leading others.
- is motivated and can motivate others.
- is keen to take on new ideas and opportunities.
- is able to model good practice to others.
- has a strong knowledge and understanding of how to support children with Special Educational Needs.
