Horizon Search & Selection Ltd are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead their team of 9 Technical Sales Managers.

 

The company are market leaders in the design, manufacture and installation of luxurious glass roof lights and this role provides a brilliant opportunity to join the business at a really exciting time of growth.  

 

This excellent role provides a brilliant opportunity for the successful candidate to join and progress within a market leading company. Primarily you will be responsible for managing a team of 9 field based Technical Specification Managers, promoting the brand and selling products into the Construction industry. Dealing regularly with Architects, specifiers, structural engineers and contractors. Full training will be provided.

 

Another part of this position will be to secure specifications for rooflight products and developing relationships in order to identify upcoming projects within Architects UK wide. You will need to create and nurture these relationships to understand upcoming pipeline of projects by becoming their consultant of choice. Creating and tracking specifications from origination through to products purchased, managing price and customer relations throughout the process. This role is a sales targeted position reporting directly to the Commercial Manager

 

Duties and Responsibilities to include:

  • Improving the awareness of the company and products throughout the UK
  • Identifying key architects, contractors and property developers
  • Identifying large projects/ developments being undertaken
  • Visiting Architects & Contractors to help specify products
  • Demonstrating at new product release days
  • Working to maximise sales opportunities and increase the Sales Teams conversion ratios
  • Undertake pre-order meetings as and when required
  • Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant information to Commercial Manager
  • Proactively develop new business opportunities
  • Lead, engage and motivate the current sales teams and support them during meetings as necessary
  • Develop and maintain a high level of industry and product knowledge including competitor products
  • Liaison with the marketing department to assist with campaigns

 

Skills and Attributes:

  • Demonstrable experience within an sales management role (ideally within the construction industry)
  • Technical interests
  • Computer literate MS suite
