Sales & Business Development Manager (Geotechnical)- Great Yarmouth- £65K+ (NEG)- Full Time

We are seeking an individual that has broad knowledge of Geotechnical Engineering, gained in a Commercial, Project or Finance based role.

In this position, you will develop business relations and opportunities and secure awards for contracts for Geotechnical business for my client, a leader in their industry and established in 1969.

Roles and responsibilities Include-

  • Coordinate and evaluate direct reports (where applicable) and manage performance in accordance with current legislation, Company procedures and leading by example
  • Investigate and communicate market trends and potential opportunities for the Company
  • Identify, develop and maintain business relationships with clients
  • Develop business opportunities leading to the receipt of Requests for Tenders
  • Oversee tendering activities leading to the successful award of projects, and prepare tenders where required
  • Ensure adequate handover of Contract Award to Project Managers, and provide all necessary information including contract reviews, risk management, budget setting, and performance objective
  • Liaise with clients on ongoing projects to ensure client satisfaction objectives are met 
  • Provide accurate and timely information regarding business development activities, project opportunities and tendering activities

Our ideal candidate- 

  • Significant sales and business development experience.
  • Broad knowledge of geotechnical engineering.
  • Demonstrable experience in effective personnel management including recruiting, training, motivating, supervision, evaluation and monitoring.
