Sales and Key Account Executive-  Suffolk Chamber of Commerce is the largest independent business forum in the East of England.  We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven Sales and Key Account Executive to work in our busy sales team. We are looking for a confident, positive and determined individual who can provide exceptional service both face to face and over the phone. We are considering both full time and part time / job share options. In return were paying a competitive salary of up to £26,000 plus package.

The role is based in Ipswich, but with opportunities to work from our Bury St Edmunds or Lowestoft offices.

As Sales and Key Account Executive, you will work in the busy sales team providing account management for a wide range of businesses across Suffolk to support membership retention. With a passion for sales and experience in building and nurturing strong relationships, you will be responsible for customer support, sales opportunities and engagement with our members. 

You will work directly with businesses to raise awareness of the benefits of Suffolk Chamber membership, identifying opportunities to maximise revenue and provide business support that ensures our members retain their membership.

Sales and Key Account Executive responsibilities will include:

  • Recruitment of local businesses to join Suffolk Chamber of Commerce
  • Telephone account management for all members of Suffolk Chamber, including the welcome and follow up calls and managing customer enquiries to support retention
  • Securing sponsorship and other new commercial income streams and upselling Chamber products and services

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years experience of working in a business/customer sales and/or telephone sales environment
  • Proven track record of increasing sales and achieving sales targets
  • Knowledge/understanding of a range of selling and promotion techniques and how to apply them
  • Demonstrable experience of building, maintaining and utilising successful relationships with a wide range of business people and internal contacts
  • Exceptional interpersonal and negotiating skills
  • Understanding of buyer behaviour and the ability to adjust style to suit customer needs    
  • Self-sufficiency and resilience with the ability to think on your feet and proactively problem solve under pressure

We are offering a salary of between £22,000 and £26,000 + a generous OTE for this role. Also included is a pension and healthcare package and flexible working opportunities. This role is based in Ipswich but will require independent travel across Suffolk.
