Foxwood Resource Centre is a six bedded short break unit for children aged 5 to 18 years with a severe learning/physical disability including children with complex health needs and challenging behaviour.

We are seeking a suitably qualified or experienced Practitioner to join our multi skilled established team. You should be enthusiastic, flexible and responsive to the needs of children. You will be required to provide direct care to disabled children and ensure that their holistic needs are met.

The post involves shift leading and requires you to take the lead in planning and organising shifts so that the needs of the children are met at all times.

Additionally, you are also required to take a lead in link working which requires liaising and working with families, so you most have excellent communication skills.

Ideally you should have a NVQ3 or CWDC Diploma in working with Children and young people however consideration will be given to suitable candidates without this qualification.
