Gates Hydraulics a division of Gates (U.K.) Ltd. is looking for a:
Quality Engineer

Gates (U.K.) Limited is a major international company and a leading manufacturer of application-specific Fluid Power and Power Transmission solutions. Our continuing success has resulted in the following challenging opportunity in our Gates Hydraulics, St. Neots plant.

Reporting directly to our Operations manager Duties include:
* Employ effective problem solving methodologies
* Completion of warranty part failure analysis
* Developing and executing Advanced Product Quality Plans (APQP)
* Reviewing customer technical drawings and specifications to understand and deploy quality controls
* Acting as a specialist establishing inspection sample plans, including statistical process controls (SPC) as necessary
* Utilizing inspection equipment and determining acceptability of the measurement method through MSA
* Conducting internal quality system audits (e.g. ISO9001, IATF16949)
* Formulate or assists in formulating quality policies and procedures

Required Experience:
* Working knowledge of quality management standards and quality assurance problem solving tools in a similar environment
* Experience of internal quality systems auditing (e.g.ISO9001, IATF16949) and layered process auditing.
* Working knowledge or education of Lean Manufacturing would be advantageous

Required Skills:
* HNC /HND level, or equivalent, in a directly relevant discipline coupled with considerable relevant experience in a comparable role within a manufacturing environment
