37 hours per week - Fixed Term Contract for up to 18 months

Breckland Council is looking to welcome an ambitious and experienced project manager to play a key role in our skilled and dedicated Delivery Unit.


The successful applicant will be highly visible and part of a newly formed specialist team aiming to drive the delivery of, predominately, property projects to support the Councils growth and commercialisation agenda.


These are exciting times with the way we implement major change at Breckland having significantly moved forward; we are now creating teams to ensure sustainable delivery is a given.


This role will be to focus on delivering an exciting portfolio of projects that will have a lasting and positive impact for the communities we serve.

 

  • Can you deliver and lead from the front, deliver on time and to budget?

  • Do you have the experience and ability to lead the successful delivery of a variety of complex commercial, asset and property projects of key strategic value?

  • Are you someone who possesses great leadership skills who can galvanize virtual project teams to be high performers across partnerships?

  • Do you consider yourself strategically aware, commercially astute, and able to capitalise on opportunities whilst mitigating risk?

 

Applicants must have extensive experience of managing high profile, high value projects within a Local Authority or other large and complex organisation. To include performance management, people management, change management and strategic project planning. A relevant project management qualification such as Prince 2/APM or Agile is highly desirable.
