Procurement Officer

County Hall, Norwich

£26,470 - £28,221 per annum

37 hours per week

Permanent contract

We require a Procurement Officer to join the Passenger Transport Category Team. The team procures contracts for local bus services, home to school transport and both adult and child care transport.

You will assist in preparing and analysing tenders, call for competitions and quotes for Passenger Transport Services ensuring that procurement is undertaken in accordance with contract standing orders, relevant UK legislation and EU procurement directives. You will work closely with colleagues who commission transport and with contractors.

You will have excellent experience of working with IT systems and be proficient in designing complex excel spreadsheets and ideally have or be working towards a procurement qualification.

You will have practical experience of purchasing or management of contracts.

The ability to work to tight deadlines in a pressurised environment is essential in this post.
