Procurement Executive, Norwich

We have a genuine career opportunity for a numerate, business-focused person of graduate calibre to join our talented procurement team. This role is at the heart of our organisation and will give you full exposure to the world of procurement that includes, but in no way is limited to, the purchasing of company cars, stationery, office refurbs and facilities.

The chosen candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills and feel very confident meeting new teams, suppliers and senior decision makers. Ideally, but not essential, you would have some experience in procurement and be working towards or wanting to gain your CIPS qualification.

Our small team means that you will been given entire projects to run and with over 100 contracts to manage each year and a £20m purchasing budget you can see that each day will offer you challenge and variety along with a vast amount of development and experience in the area of commercial negotiation, strategy and tactics.

 

THE CHOSEN CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Graduate/business-related qualifications
  • Numeracy and be financially astute
  • Strong business acumen
  • A logical and tenacious approach
  • Creative, solution-focused ideas
  • Proven project management experience (ideally)
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills (ideally)
  • A track record of successful negotiation and supplier relationship management (ideally)
  • Ability to build rapport quickly with internal teams
  • An interest in procurement
