We are looking to recruit for the position of
Post Office Counter Clerk
Experience will be an advantage, however training is given.
Subject to the outcome of a public consultation and following a complete shop refurbishment, we are excited to be taking over running the Great Dunmow Crown Post Office within our High Street department store in Great Dunmow.

We are currently looking for enthusiastic individuals with strong communication skills and a passion for customer service to join our new Post Office team.

Job Description
The Accountabilities
* Serving customers quickly and efficiently, ensuring they are fully informed of all relevant services on offer
* Working effectively and proactively towards individual and store targets
* Completing transactions in an accurate and timely manner to provide a positive customer experience 
* Demonstrating good product knowledge to customers on key promotions and offers, maximising all selling opportunities
* Ensuring necessary administration is completed
* Adhering to all security procedures, ensuring a high level of security awareness is observed at all times
The Requirements
* Five years continuous referencing and consent to undertake a criminal record check
* Good level of numeracy and accuracy
* Excellent communication skills (high level of written and spoken English is essential)
* Ability to work within a team
* Use initiative and identify sales opportunities
* Confidence in liasing with a diverse customer base and cross selling Post Office products
* Previous customer service experience
* Ability to work well under pressure, dealing with a variety of tasks and queries

Hours to be confirmed. More than one position for Counter Clerk is currently available.
