Office Manager

Location: Ipswich

Salary: Full time - £30,000pa + pension and healthcare package

Office Manager- The New Anglia Growth Hub offers a range of business support services to local businesses both new and established. . We are looking for a full time Office Manager to manage our busy office-based team on a fixed term contract initially until 31st August 2019, and then to August 2021 (subject to continued funding by the ERDF Funds).  This Office Manager position is based within Ipswich, but some travel will be required across Suffolk and Norfolk, with a salary on offer of £30,000.

As Office Manager, you are responsible for the following:

  • To oversee the day-to-day running of business operations and procedures within the office-based team
  • To manage the implementation of business strategies in line with current business plans
  • To manage the day to day work of a support team within a busy office, ensuring a smooth, efficient service that meets the expectations and needs of customers and stakeholders
  • Setting and reviewing budgets and managing costs for the office support team
  • To deliver the New Anglia Growth Hub service against operational plans and milestones

Key Skills for Office Manager role:

  • 5 or more GCSEs or equivalent including English and Maths
  • Possession of or willingness to work towards achieving appropriate SFEDI or relevant professional qualification
  • Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Minimum 2 years-experience in managing a team including appraisals, performance management and development
  • Knowledge of financial reports for business
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills to meet competing priorities
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • A flexible approach to meeting the needs of the role including some out of hours work
  • Negotiating and influencing skills to motivate and encourage partners to help achieve the New Anglia Growth Hub targets

This is a full-time position is fully funded by ERDF and is for a fixed term initially until 31st August 2019, and then to August 2021 subject to continued funding. We are offering a full-time salary of £30,000 pa depending on experience, along with a pension and healthcare package.
